We love when our clients decide to spend their whole wedding weekend at Balcones Springs with their friends and family, so they can truly take advantage of all that our grounds have to offer. Besides, after months of hard work and stress planning the most important day of your life, who doesn’t love some good old fashioned fun, rest, and relaxation?! Watching this group play and party before the big event was incredibly fun to witness.
The Bride and Groom respectfully asked that we keep their names private so we will refer to them with the aliases, Kelly and Phillip. Additionally, we won’t be showing any close ups of their faces, though we can assure you, photographer, Averi Blackmon captured some truly amazing shots.
Guests began arriving around 3pm Friday and checking into their cabins. Our cabins can be set up to host individuals, couples, or entire families – each one complete with private bathrooms and personal amenities.
Kelly and Phillip, along with their families welcomed a group of 45 close friends and family members to the Rehearsal dinner in the beautiful Longhorn dining room that evening. After dinner, guests wandered out to the pond and fire pit for s’mores, music, and continued cocktails.
The following morning, the group enjoyed a continental breakfast before a day full of activities – basketball, kickball, swimming, and games on the lake – this group seriously knows how to have fun! After lunch, the ladies headed off to hair and makeup (and mimosas!) while the groomsmen enjoyed downtime with beers and snacks before getting ready.
Meanwhile, the Rose Garden was readied for the big event. Local florist, Cutting Edge Floral adorned the alter with stunning arrangements of pinks, greens, and whites – the aisle lined with pink rose petals. A beautifully heart-felt ceremony united Kelly and Phillip as one and guests cheered the happy couple onto the reception.
Averi Blackmon captured stunning moments between the bride and groom, as the guests headed to cocktail hour. Yard games, horseshoes, and cornhole got the party started and guests enjoyed signature cocktails and appetizers on our grassy knoll.
The pavilion provided the perfect set up for the reception – adorned beautifully with green garlands, blooming centerpieces, lights, and candles. Phillip and Kelly arrived hand in hand as Mr. and Mrs. and the joy in the air was palpable. Dinner, dancing, toasts, and celebration turned the night into a magnificent party, before husband and wife exited under a tunnel of sparklers.
Guests gathered one last time for a farewell brunch the following morning sharing memories and moments from the beautiful night before.
Having Phillip and Kelly share such an incredibly precious milestone with us and entrusting our staff with their wedding weekend was our absolute honor and privilege. Each event that takes place at Balcones Springs adds to our colorful story and this wedding was a truly vibrant array of moments. Thank you to Kelly, Phillip, and their families for allowing us share in the joy.
